Just make all your passwords ‘incorrect’. That way you always get a reminder.

This is very common on a lot of sites, so you change your password and try again, same thing, then you type your password into notepad and cut and paste it in, and then it is accepted. Makes no sense.

Nah, we don't.
There's a bunch of Regex bs we have to check and lengths and stuff. Get a good password manager.

If someone has entered their password correctly and its their first login attempt, throw an error "incorrect login or password".
