I guess thoughts and prayers only work so well, after all. 🤔

Such a shame he lost his life at such a young age. May he rest in peace, my condolences to his family also
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
@urbancowboy was this guy killed today?
urbancowboy · M
@tobynshorty Yes, they couldn't save him
toxdoc · 80-89, M
I disliked what he stood for, but he had a right to his beliefs, and no one had a right to kill him.
ElwoodBlues · M
@toxdoc No one had a right to kill him, but he understood that his preferred policies increased the US death rate. He was willing to sacrifice other lives to his belief in gun freedom.

Further irony: Kirk wasn't expecting any empathy for or from his supporters.
"I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that – it does a lot of damage."

@ElwoodBlues That’s truly ironic. Guess he literally died for what he believed in.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues I guess he finally found out if it WAS worth it?
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
God I love it when people don't get the joke
Elessar · 31-35, M
The hell I just learned about it from this
bijouxbroussard · F
@Elessar Same, here. In Utah, of all places. Which means maybe he wasn’t shot by someone who disagreed with his politics, it was possibly someone on his side who didn’t think he went far enough.
