@TradEmily I would probably just print out a bunch of info on something to invent and how it works and just try and use that as a instruction manual probably.

@KentuckyFriedFloozy If you described an invention to an inventor in that time you might give them the inspiration to invent it on their own. The thing would have to not be too many steps of invention beyond the time period. For example they certainly could invent a type writer in medieval Germany but not an iPhone or wifi! That would take successive explanations and inventions.
