When I was small, one of my neighbors, 8 years old, was selling baggies of penny candy for a quarter at recess. He had employees, too—kindergarteners whom he would give a percentage of the earnings. It was actually pretty shrewd. I lost track of him when we moved. I suspect he became either a successful businessman or a drug dealer—I never knew which.
