After trumps tariffs it'll be even more expensive. And probably poisoned.

@Shs00 please find something better to do with your life than troll me. I really don't care.

@MarbleMarvel I mean there's this possibility that the producers will open their heart and decide to pay themselves for the tariffs on the stuff they import instead of passing it down to the final customer, and you're being very anti-American here for categorically excluding it /s
@Elessar it's because I am American that I know nobody is looking out for the final customer lol

@MarbleMarvel "Screw the final customer!"

@Elessar Amazing how before this election we were individuals, and even though half the country didn't vote for him, we're all the same now 🤷🏼♀

@MarbleMarvel I can't speak nor don't know if something similar is happening domestically, but from an international perspective, countries are seen as single blocks: also in Russia, Iran, Israel, etc. something less or something more than half the population hates their govt (no country is really a monolith, not even North Korea), but when the country is the object of discussion, it's commonplace to use "Russia" to refer to the Putin mafia, "Iran" to refer to the islamists , "Israel" to Netanyahu, etc.
Now "US" in international forums is used to refer to the GOP. It's not that we're under the assumption that 100% of the Americans support the GOP, it's just that for the sake of discussing international/foreign politics, the internal factions of a country that don't control said countries aren't meaningful.

@MarbleMarvel this 👌🏾
@Elessar they should be meaningful though. We're all human.

@MarbleMarvel It's not what I meant with meaningful, of course from a humanitarian point of view you matter. My heart goes to those of you who'll get directly affected by the policies they claim to want to implement, like my heart goes to the Russians that are sent to the meat grinder simply for opposing their senseless war, or the Iranian (women) who get tortured or killed for not obeying to some idiotic dress code.
Just saying, when people say "America" in a discussion about international politics they're referring to the governing body and respective enablers, not the totality of people living there.

@Elessar
American culture dictates that an extremely strong percentage of American Businesses will chase every last penny, and complain about not earning enough, while also earning record profits and they'll pass every last penny down to the consumer

With all due respect, no there is not that possibility... American culture dictates that an extremely strong percentage of American Businesses will chase every last penny, and complain about not earning enough, while also earning record profits and they'll pass every last penny down to the consumer
