I don’t have a dark sense of humor, but I do have a broken one I think. People usually laugh at breaks in a pattern we recognize and that’s humor. It’s something we don’t see coming. I laugh only at things that are entirely expected. Like when I’m having a hard time with a coworker while we’re trying to do something and they say “this sucks” I’ll laugh so hard I’m practically in tears. 😂 I mean it does. They’re not being funny with a joke or anything like that, but the frankness of it is hilarious to me for some reason.

@MellyMel22 That’s mostly all I do. I laugh at the ordinary and typical which means I’m always the only one laughing. 😅 People don’t get upset though, just confused. It sounds like with dark humor you’re laughing at something that is not morally okay to laugh at so people do get upset?

@Reject Awh.. I’d prob laugh w/you. I’m one of those who busts out laughing b/c someone they’re with is and it’s not even faked 🤣
I think that’s pretty much what it is. I’m not bad with it, maybe I have a bit of it in me. Though I have seen a lot I felt was overboard, but that’s only my view.

@MellyMel22 That’s good then because normally people are so bewildered when I start laughing which makes me laugh even harder. 😆 I look crazy. They ask me what’s funny and honestly I can’t explain because nothing is and that’s what makes it funny to me.

@Reject That’s what would make it worse for me too. I have had tears in my eyes not being able to stop.
I’m not sure honestly what’s the worst. The thing is that I never intend to laugh at these things and after I think, that’s kinda messed up. That’s why I loved this meme 🤭 I was telling someone here I heard a guy not far from here saw someone on his property and ran out with a machete like a wacko and it made me laugh. I was told it was inappropriate to laugh at, that only made me laugh harder though 🤣 I don’t think I’m anywhere are dark as most who are. I remember a friend joking about it when I told him I was cracking up the entire time I watched Split 🫥 I couldn’t help it.

@MellyMel22 I think it’s a testament to how good of a person you are to reflect on it and feel bad later. ♥️ My friends don’t even do that much. They’ll laugh when old people fall and feel no remorse. Running out with a machete does sound wild and ridiculous though. 😄 I can see how that would be funny. I’ve never seen Split, but it’s about split personality disorder, right? I’d watch that with you and laugh. Like you I’m a social laugher too.

You have to watch it! One thing is that one personality of the guy reminded me of my Godson and he sounded like him too(personality and voice) and he’s always made me laugh. But when the kids are locked up and they think they see a woman, they get all excited and learn it’s him as another personality and I’m here cracking up 🤣 I’m pretty sure if it’s a true story there’s no way I could’ve laughed at that.. but it was great, you gotta watch it! I should rewatch it too. I’m sure that would be fun though!
