@LadyGrace It's dark, reddish-colored meat, and it tastes a bit like meat from a deer, I think that's called "venison" in English.

@helenS Is it tough or chewy? Did you have to marinade it before cooking it?

@caesar7 If I remember correctly, it was rather tough. It was not marinated, and often prepared with thyme and mustard. Roasted and then cooked for a longer period of time. I haven't eaten it for >25 years, so I don't really remember the details.

@Peterpaul17 Yes it's true, I run a lot. I also swim a lot – maybe that's because we had fish two times a week when I was a child.
