From Major Charles Emerson Winchester, III:

Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
He was my husband's favorite character on mash
I was partial to Klinger
@Justmeraeagain I liked him in spite of myself. He had so many more layers than the Frank Burns character. And both David Ogden Stiers and Larry Linville were much nicer people than the characters they played.

@Justmeraeagain I like colonel potter
He was a good heavy. Many layers.

Hawkeye was my favorite. Now it’s klinger
@Quoththeraven He wasn’t quite a heavy in the way Frank Burns was. Burns always came across as unlikable, without redeeming qualities. When the character left the show he was more to be pitied than hated. Winchester became one of them, in spite of himself. Sometimes he was even the voice of reason or compassion, which would’ve been unimaginable from Burns.
@bijouxbroussard A perfect synopsis

Thanks to MeTV, it’s on I think 6 days a week.
@sciguy18 Yes. It’s mind blowing that they’ve been celebrating the series 50th anniversary.

Such a good show
I tried watching mash yesterday, again for the third time in recent years, and I can’t make it past the first episode.
@nonsensiclesnail I guess it’s not for everyone.
