Looking more into it, looks like the link was found around 2017, and the lab who was doing the tests claims that they've been struggling to get a larger testing group together for it due to COVID, but have continued researching into it.

https://naviauxlab.ucsd.edu/publications/
is the labs website.

is the research paper for the small test group of 10 children in 2017.

Apparently it improved the children who got the treatment for a total of three weeks, then they returned back to normal after an additional three weeks.

It kind of seems like low doses of suramin might have some positive effects on autism, although the way that it was put into the system was via intravenous infusion, and infact Suramin is not orally bioavailable and must be given intravenously. Meaning that continued use would be, rather problematic for most people I assume. But I guess people do go in sometimes for treatments like this over long periods of time.

Also the study had nothing to do with the children speaking full sentences, and Dr. Silvia Theos not only has nothing to do with the study, but also does not seem to be a real doctor that exists outside of the meme that was passed around.

I am really curious what further studies into this will find.

@TeirdalinFirefall there are cures for almost everything and most have been suppressed in favor of expensive treatments.

@cherokeepatti The connection was just made a handful of years back and has been researched into since then even with COVID going on by a fairly small lab team using a high toxicity drug that the FDA deemed illegal for use in humans for any purpose except for African Sleeping Sickness and FDA-approved trials.

You should really cut them some slack, they're not omniscient and the government regulations are very tight when it involves the possibility of children dying, the treatment is not made for long-term and if someone with autism was to use this, since it does not permanently cure it, it would need to be something they take for the rest of their life and it has quite a lot of side effects ranging from loss of energy to convulsions, fever and decreased blood pressure and difficulty breathing.

@TeirdalinFirefall and yet the FDA is allowing OTC and other drugs to be sold in this country that have been banned in the UK and Canada because they’ve been linked to cardiac arrest, cancer or other serious medical conditions. One example is an OTC arthritis cream.

@cherokeepatti The FDA is kind of incredibly incompetent and most likely rather corrupt. Another thing I don't understand that they let be given as a treatment is ciprofloxacin as an antibiotic. It can and has ruined peoples lives and permanently crippled some.

It's a low cost and affordable antibiotic, yet it absolutely ruins numerous peoples lives.

@TeirdalinFirefall there is a heart med that causes diabetes for a lot of people, have known two people who developed diabetes within a month of being put on that drug. My sister was a nurse and told me it was linked to diabetes.
