I Struggle With Maths

I always have done, but I need at least a grade C in GCSE next year to go to college.

I don't know why I find it so much harder than all my other subjects. This year I have been taken out of the top set for maths and put into a smaller and less competitive class. The teacher is so nice. She talked to me for half an hour yesterday about how she was going to help me pass my exams. I am getting extra tuition and she will spend more time explaining where I am going wrong than my old teacher did.

I am feeling quite optimistic and happy about doing maths now.

Good luck with it. I hope your new teacher is good because I would love you to do well in maths because if it's explained properly it becomes easier and then it becomes fun! :)

Thank you! She is very patient with me. I can't say it's fun yet, but it is at least less frightening.
