The Romans didn’t use zero as a mathematical notation. But, with an abacus you can still build:

@Bumbles must be a tricky thing to master. I reckon I could do it, I used to be able to use a slide rule. I'm not sure I have the patience though!

Another thing of note about math and the Romans. Turns out the tax man doesn't think it is funny if you file your taxes in roman numerals.
