Sessions Are Over for the Day
I have been at a statistical conference in DC for two days. There are 1.5 days left. The photos above were taken after it had ended for the day, and most people had left. It is a huge, airy convention center! Yet I also feel like I am at an airport. It certainly has airport food prices!
I am commuting into DC for it each day. It feels strange to do so, because I have been working from home (20 miles from DC) for over 2 years, ever since the pandemic hit. Before the pandemic, though, I used to work in DC.
Gosh, commuting sucks. Stinky trains and people, and sometimes it is standing room only!
The only plus are all the cute young ladies around in their lovely summer clothes, or tight skirts. Oh my! I really missed that! Sigh.
I am now waiting for a train to take me home. No cute young ladies in sight, though. I cannot wait to get home. It was a hot one today. I wore pants to be professional. Gosh, I need a bath. And dinner!
