Math problem

I'm sure It's quite simple but my brain is not working😭😢

How many packets of 12, 20"*20" panels do I need to cover a wall that is 46" wide, 83" high, 15" depth

Also I want to cover both sides of the wall

One package per side will do it.
@Ontheroad@SW-User sorry , not to butt in , (but im butting in 😏), do the panels have a pattern you need to match at all?
coz that can make a difference if you can use offcuts or not for the smaller pieces .

@OogieBoogie Excellent point, but I considered that - she will, if it is necessary, have enough extra to account for it.

@OogieBoogie no, they're just boxwood panels I want to cover an ugly wall

The formula is:

46 x 83 (width multiplied by height) = 3,818 sq inches - Multiply that by two (to cover both sides) = 7,636

83 x 15 (height multiplied by depth) = 1,245 sq inches - assuming one side here

For a total of 8,881 square inches

The packet has: 12 each 20 x 20 (400) = 4,800

That would be 1.85 packets, but you may need 3 packets, as you may have to cut off parts of the panels.

So this guy asks his neighbour how many rolls of wallpaper did he buy to decorate the living room?
12 was the reply .
The guy buys 12 rolls of wallpaper and decorates his living room but has 2 rolls left over.
The next week he tells his neighbors that after decoration he had 2 rolls left unused.
The neighbor replies "So did I."

Depends if the panels have a pattern or if they can be turned either way.
Oh geez Im lousy at figuring out math like that. 🤯I let the hub figure it out for me.😙
Good luck!
call the guy, sit on the patio sipping Iced tea while he does the work. problem solved
