Town population is 500. If male population increases by 10% and female population decreases by 5%, then the total population increases by 1% . How many males are in the town?

@Riemann I remember that in the context of my chemistry lessons: how much 15%-sulfuric acid do you have to add to 350mL of 85%-H2SO4 to obtain 55% sulfuric acid.
... and they were all scratching their heads...🙄
