Please help me with graphing these quadratics if you can.

Please show and explain all steps so I can add them to my notes and understand them better, thank you for your help. Identify the vertex, axis of symmetry, domain, range, and x- and y-intercepts for the following quadratic functions. Then graph each function:

f(x) = -2(x+1)^2 + 8

f(x) = 2x + 4x - 5

The second isn't a quadratic, by simple inspection.

You should know the domain; that's dead easy.

Use your knowledge of the first and second derivatives...

But you know this, because this is the first semester/quarter of calc.
