@NeoNeo Nope, they are still widely used in places like Battery Park and Broadway when cars illegally double park, etc. I lived in the NYC/NJ metro area for 53 years so I can assure you mounted police aren't going anywhere, any time soon.

@luv2fly352 They are actively involved in police duties in 'some' parts of the world, yes. In my country and many other countries they still have few mounted divisions but they are not used in every cities.

@NeoNeo Never said they were used in every city, but they've been used since the NYPD was founded in 1845 and continue to be used to this very day as a legitimate part of policing. Not just for show.
