do you think this is better or ever do this?

do you think its better to minimize the things you do not like? most of the time i think in terms of looks or personality traits, or physical things you should minimize this. like if you hate long nails or long hair or people who wear tights, its better to say I dont like tights that much not that you hate it, because that will push people who wear tights away. I also don't like when people do personal attacks and judgments like if you wear a lot of makeup then your vain and materialistic.
