I never understood why some people when posting pics, tag them with #nofilter or #nomakeup...

Like... Are they proud of posting a picture with no filter or makeup? Are they indirecting throwing shade on people who do otherwise? :o

Hard to say. I have seen it done and, depending on the person that depends on how it comes across.
Sometimes some try to throw shade while wearing makeup and saying that they are not...
Trends or whatever confuse me.
