I Love To Hear The Words "I Love You"

WHAT HURTS THE MOST...
Have you ever thought about which hurts the most-saying something and wishing you hadn't or saying nothing and wishing you had? I think, for me, the most important things are the hardest things to say, like "I love you." I know that we all fear those words coming from our mouth for the first time only to be rejected, and even if they do accept you they could still break your heart. Have you thought about the other side? What if you never get the courage to utter those words, you just might break theirs. Our hearts decide who we will love and who we won't. Try as hard as we may we can't tell our heart what to do. It does it on its own-when you least suspect it, or even when you don't want it to. Have you ever loved someone with everything you had, but that other person was too afraid to let you? Too many of us stay walled up because we are too afraid to care too much or for fear that the other person does not care as much, or even at  all. Have you ever denied your feelings for someone because your fear of rejection was too hard to handle? One thing I have learned over the years is that life is all about risks and it requires you to  jump. Don't be a person who has to look back and wonder what they would have done, or could  have  had, or should have been. What would you do if the person you love the most died tomorrow and you never got to tell them how you felt? What would you do if you loved someone more than ever and you couldn't have them? What would you do if you never got the chance  to  say I love you? People live, but people die too. Never count on tomorrow happening; tell them you love them today.

Great story! And yes. I agree that the far worst pain is the regret of not having had the resolve to put it all on the line and say what you mean.

Thanks for your comment. I had stopped writing my longer stories because someone had said they didn't like my long stories. They were boring. Lol so I stopped writing here as much.

@Fungirlmmm: I for one applaud people who can take some time and space to actually write a robust story! In fact, that is one of the things I notice has decreased dramatically at SW and even EP in its last days. Maybe we need a section for intellectuals who can pay attention for the longer stories??? 👅

Please don't let those who have no patience to read stop you from doing what you do so well, Fungirlmmm!!!

@Ambroseguy80: aww thank you. I get discouraged sometimes.

@Fungirlmmm: I know. I did and do too with this place sometimes. I guess we can blame it on the memes and pictures that cause people not to write as much and think for themselves as much! Please keep doing what you do. :)

Lol I made memes for a lot of my thoughts and some have become popular,
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
@Fungirlmmm: oh that's great also. But they do tend to take away the free form writing as it is just easier to repost someone's canned thoughts. Not that those are bad mind you. ;)

@Ambroseguy80: I may just be a profound thinker lol.
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
@Fungirlmmm: there is nothing "may" or "just" about it dear. You are a damn good profound thinker. I can see it in your writings. :)
