I Believe In Soulmates

June 25, 2016... Four years ago, today, I lost my soulmate. If he hadn't moved two thousand miles away for college, we'd have spent our lives together, but we went in different directions. Still, we spoke every day. Whether through a phone call, a text, or an email, we were always connected. There were times I'd be sitting at the beach, and suddenly out of the blue, I'd get a text message..."Any whales out there?" I'd be sitting somewhere in tears, and I'd get a text..."Holding you" or "Let me wipe those tears away." I'd be writing a poem or a story, and he'd write, "Hope to read that soon." All without my telling him my activities. He just knew. I still get messages from him, but through the heart. Those won't ever end, I'm sure. But I miss the sound of his voice. I miss his silly texts. I miss his long meaningful emails. I miss him. My soulmate.
