My soulmate is a truck as old as I am...

With the innards of a late model V8, slick tires, standalone ECU with a clean leader harness, advanced and tuned, honed suspension, shiny headers and exhaust, performance cam and lifters, and a turbo that'll knock the socks off down an 8th mile track. And if that baby is manual...an air shifter. 馃槀馃憤

@HumanEarth is it still functional? Could definitely sell it if nothing else!
HumanEarth56-60, F
Now which Chevy colored engine is better

Chevy Red
Chevy Blue
Chevy Orange
Chevy Black
HumanEarth56-60, F
I just rebuilt it and its in the truck now and its running on points
RedGrizzly26-30, F
@HumanEarth heck yeah! I like distributors tbh. It's easier to adjust the timing however you want.
HumanEarth56-60, F
I love points to, no electronic devices. And I can push start
HumanEarth56-60, F
My 1998 truck I ripped out everything but the body and built Chevy 622 big block, with 4.4 bore stoke and running dual carbs with a high lift intake manifold.

For the transmission I'm using a SM420 manual and paired up with a Rockwell T221 Transfer case
HumanEarth56-60, F
No computers, or electronics all old school
RedGrizzly26-30, F
@HumanEarth Nice set up!!! I want to get my hand on an early 90's Mazda b series pickup or Ford Ranger and gut it. Piss off my yuppie neighbors for bringing home a beater then flipping it to blow their minds. Lmao but nah, I want to turn it into a hot rod. Quick question, what did you do for the electrical/wire harnesses? Did you have the original for the engine or whole set up, custom build or something?
HumanEarth56-60, F
Only thing original is the body. Not even the frame is original. The frame is a pair of stacked k-30 frames welded together and then welded 1/8 inch plate steel in the sides in weak areas that would be known to fail in my last build
RedGrizzly26-30, F
@HumanEarth wow! I'm impressed. That's tons of work right there! And she's on the road today. That's so freaking awesome!
HumanEarth56-60, F
I build a new one every 5 or 10 years for myself.
HumanEarth56-60, F
I hate todays vehicles with a passion. Everything is power this and power that. Computer computer controlled and everything is an automatic transmission
RedGrizzly26-30, F
@HumanEarth haha I totally get this. Now everything's becoming electric or hybrid. I'm over here like ... where's the fun in that?

@RedGrizzly The cool part I know how the guy did it and I can make your cigarette lighter the push start without a key.
