They say it is better to have loved and lost than to never to have loved at all. Some days it doesn't feel that way, try to enjoy the memories of the good times together.

When you first loose them it does feel that way. I lost my wife several years ago so I speak from experience. I won't try and say it gets better. You just learn how to live with it.

That's fabulous you had that wonderful special person.. Sometimes it works out - I am so sorry she is no longer with us but I am sure she will be forever in your heart.

Always in my heart. Life soooooooooo long without her

Sometimes you loose your soul mate through no fault of your own. Was married to mine for 20 years before she died. Miss her very much.

I am so sorry you lost her.. that is cruel but I am glad you found her and had her in your life

Unfortunately, my soulmate left for college, and we both ended up with our own families. We still felt it and remained very close. He took my deepest, darkest secrets to the grave with him a four years ago.

Aww yes that was the kind of thing I was thinking of.. where you can know someone is your soul mate but have to accept that you cannot be with them x

It's not easy, but can still be very special.

Widower, yes it is. You never "get over" the loss. You just learn to live with it.

Hmm indeed @Mrs G... life's a funny old thing.. with a twisted and turning path.
