Like...i don't mean to be rude but there's no such thing as a soulmate. Looking for one can make people miss on good opportunities to meet flawed, realistic and yet interesting human beings.
williamangliss · 41-45, M
@Trevo how do you know that there’s no such thing ?
Trevo · 26-30, M
@williamangliss I understand the concept of soulmate as someone who completes the other person entirely, they understand each other even without words, and their love is everlasting.

All this is completely unrealistic.
williamangliss · 41-45, M
@Trevo you say this based on ???
Trevo · 26-30, M
@williamangliss just reality and human psychology
williamangliss · 41-45, M
@Trevo okay
So you’re not sure what you mean
Trevo · 26-30, M
@williamangliss why do you think so?
williamangliss · 41-45, M
@Trevo you’re not making any sense
I don’t get what you’re basing it on

To say psychology and reality
Means nothing
Explain to me what psychology and whose reality ?
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@williamangliss There is no such thing as a soulmate. There is only hope and desperation.
Trevo · 26-30, M
@williamangliss Oh I see.

I think you can look that up, if you're interested, as long as the psychology part goes. Not that I couldn't do it, but I know it would do little to change the way you think. Most times the only way to trick our biased nature as human beings is by taking things in charge ;)

As for the reality part. I understand that we all have our own reality to some extent, but there are univers truths.
williamangliss · 41-45, M
@Trevo going around in circles here :)
The only universal truths that I’m aware of are based on observations and mathematical calculations
Trevo · 26-30, M
@williamangliss Reality is pretty observable :)
williamangliss · 41-45, M
@Trevo I have a feeling that you don’t know what you’re talking about
Now that’s also reality
Trevo · 26-30, M
@williamangliss lol I mean you're 36-40.

Basically you've lived half of your life already and still haven't find your soulmate. What are the mathematical odds you'll find it during the second half of your life?
williamangliss · 41-45, M
@Trevo 3 %
Trevo · 26-30, M
@williamangliss then think about it.

Besides the concept of soulmate isn't even good. I prefer thinking that I can go out there and meet anyone I can and be able to work a relationship with. This concept restricts this possibility to only one person. 1/7billion, who couldn't even be in your city, country, or even continent. Maybe they're dead, maybe they will be soon.

People who came up with it had good intentions, but it was in no way based on impirical or mathematical evidence.
@Trevo Absolutely true and how I feel. There's 7 billion people on this planet. The idea that there is one and only one person who completes my soul and is meant for me is just plain silly. I'm never going to meet 99.999% of the people alive today (and 0% of those already dead). If there were such a thing as a soulmate, it would be an incredibly cruel concept because the vast majority of people would never even have a chance of meeting theirs.

Sorry @williamangliss
williamangliss · 41-45, M
@Trevo where’s the rule where you can only have one soulmate for you entire life ?
Trevo · 26-30, M
@williamangliss that's a good thing that you think you can have more than just one.

I hope you find someone you like and who likes you.

I expressed what I think about the subject, you did the same. We good, let's move on with our days.
