Kealii Reichel - Maunaleo

This mele (song) talks about the strong and glorious mauna (mountain) on the island of Maui called Mauna Leo. I originally choreographed this dance as a tribute to the island of Maui because of the terrible fires that happened.

Mauna Leo is described as being strong, steadfast, heavenly, and respected. Quoting Keali'i Reichel, "No matter what is to come - fire, flood, storms," the Mauna will still be there - standing tall.
