That unique type of art based on imagination is called Maker Art. This is one example: There are some who are going down south to buy up (at a very low price) maker art quilts, not the fancy type of quilts that are from patterns or very coordinated etc. They are made from scraps and made as they go, quirky. The buyers will then go to New York and sell them for a huge amount of money & make a big profit off of them. Just because someone doesn’t appreciate what you make now doesn’t mean that someone else will treasure those things one day.
I love things like that. I have a walking stick someone gave me yesrs ago, absolutely love it. Painted seashells. I would cherish

@Teggy I worked at Walmart over a decade ago and saw a few women with canes that someone had made, they were quirky but they were original and fun too.
