I Miss You So Much
I Miss You
by:Rob Paquin
A cold wind of memory blows across my mind
Within it are my thoughts of you.
A familiar longing inside my soul
Reminds me of the hole that never fills.
I content myself with the knowledge that for me, it's always been there.
A void I must endure for evermore.
A tear that rests behind my eye remains locked away forever.
For I must refuse to cry, lest I fall to pieces and drown myself in my own miseries.
Time is not my friend, and only serves to mark the many moments in which I spend missing you.
A lovely little daisy grows in the barren waste of my heart.
A faint glimmering mirage of a life that never was.
In melancholy anguish I despair as I portray an illusion of a person with hope.
Lying with every smile I don in an effort to appease.
