Native and I were regular penpals on this site for a very long time, though I really don't know why. He's not the type of person who I'd typically gravitate to for debate of any kind, but I think when I realized that he never really had anyone to talk to at home is when I made the exception and would chat with him on here every night for about half an hour.
If I gave my opinion about some aspect of his life, he'd block me then unblock me a month later. Right now, I don't think I'm blocked from his life because I've seen his posts around, though I have no further interest in engaging with him on any level because there's nothing anyone can do for a guy like him. You have to just cut him loose and let him drift away.

@swirlie I never had any argument or anything with him. The last time we talked was just a few days ago on a post about movies, we were fine. Now all of a sudden I'm blocked. I've heard he has some things going on but we never got into any discussions about it. I wish him him well...

His personal situation is not stellar, to say the least. I think if you ever chat with him, take it for what it is and keep it light, but then let it go and don't chase after it.
Just know that his blocks are more about his need to hide from life than his need to not hear from you.
