About an hour ago.
I got a new phone and did a restore back up on it from my old one, and found a bunch of old unheard voice mail messeges that I had never received from my dad.
He passed away not to long ago.

I gave my entire heart to someone who was incapable of showing love or affection

I had been in a long distance relationship for three and a half years throughout high school. After I graduated, I moved back to be with her.

It ended up falling apart in less than a year. :)

I was young, 19.
The guy, 11 years older, said he was single.
After 6 weeks his ex returned and demanded he choose between us.
He said he couldn't decide and wanted to drown himself.
I believed him and ended it to save him.

I was never able to fall for anyone again. The pain of possible loss would have been too great.

Years later, when I became friends with him and his wife, I discovered he wasn't the person I thought it was - on many levels.

From the combined experiences, I learned that romantic love, no matter how delicious, intense and overwhelming, is just not the real deal.

This summer.Went on a trip to visit a girl i have been involved with for almost 5 years and in it devolved into the worse situation i ever been in.

I didn't realise what she meant to me until she'd chosen another and then the pain was there.

My first love. Sooo long ago, but still think of her often.

December 28th 2018 you passed away from COPD and I thought my heart was broken Beyond repair at that point but then I started up something new with a best friend for years and she passed away December 28th of last year that destroyed me completely two for two on the same day 4 years apart
