I Am Heartbroken Right Now

If you have read my past stories, you would know this (i'm saying it now):

I have liked this boy for quite a while now. He's not like one of those other jerks at my school, he is very nice, friendly and extremely shy (like me). We came to the point where he liked me back too and we both found out. I was so happy and he was too!

I didn't want to be clingy or anything but I wanted to know why he hasn't asked me out yet. Is he too shy? Does he want me to make the move?

My friend wanted to know too so they asked.

My crush said he liked me a lot but there was a 'problem'...and that problem was that he had a girlfriend. He said he felt really bad for not telling me in the first place but he had already been flirting with me before we became friends, so it was "too awkward" for him to tell me anyway.

So we're not going to be together since theres someone for him and, that isn't me.

I know a girl that once was in the same exact situation you are in now. She liked me but I had a really cool girlfriend. In fact the girlfriend was also her best friend at the time. Awkward. But the really cool girlfriend and I eventually stopped seeing each other as we were both pursuing different paths in life and the other girl asked me out one day. That was 30 years ago. We are still crushing on each other and have the rings to prove it.

So hang in there. Keep your head held high, continue to be friendly and things may just work themselves out for you.
