I Believe In Love

Somehow Responsible.

You see a wounded little bird,
you start feeling sadness and compassion inside,
so you pick it up and make it warm.
You try the litle bird to smile at you.

Healed by your love, you just let it go.
Feeling good in all place of you,
you say warm-goodbye to your little friend,
feeling somehow responsible for.

You’ve healed its wounds.
You’ve made a connection.

“Fly, little one, find your mama,
she must be so scared.
Hurry! Let her know,
that you are ok”.

You say,
and then, the little bird flies off
and the things get quiet again.
Far from you, the place
where mother’s love belongs to,
the little one closes its eyes,
snuggling its way to sleep,
close to his mama’s wing, safe,
in the nest of its family.

Somehow,
you felt responsible for the little bird,
You picked it up and made it warm.

The little bird smiled at you.

Isn't that what life is supposed to be about, help the lost, help heal and nurture those in need and offer love not for the accolades of others but because we have love in our hearts that we want to give. And when we give love, to those who received it are grateful and often smile, nod or tip their hat.

Thank you for writing.

I do thank you for reading. :-)
It is an optimistic poem. The reality is that most baby birds die when separated from their parents. They don't receive enough sustenance. And experts say not to touch them as the parents will abandon them then. If this is about love, well...I guess this is okay.
