It happened when I least expected it..

I was at iFLY a month ago and something I never thought would occur doing one of my hobbies happened, I met a girl. She is amazing, for example we are the same age, both similar in personalities as well she likes the same stuff as me, and the list goes on is a fellow skydiver too. I ended up taking her a few weeks ago to the nearby drop zone and we got to jump together. In the car ride up and the one back we really got to know one another and told each other deep things like our red flags and personal experiences with in the last 10 to 15 years as well as other non serious topics. I must have been too excited as towards the end I came super close in telling her I had a crush on her. But in reality the clues and way I said it leaves no doubt unfortunately that she knows already. It did not damage anything I guess cause when I dropped her off she leaned over and gave me a full on big hug not a side one, as thanks for a great time she then gave a big smile a wave and went into her place.

Since then we haven't got the chance to hang out and jump again due to her crazy busy schedule. For context she is a Dermatology resident in the Air Force and only has one day a week to really do much. So texting her is practically non existent and finding time to schedule is hard but I've found Wed nights work best for a call or text. I've made a few mistakes with texting too much and such when we do exchange but I'm working on it. I really have fallen for her and everyday I hope is a day closer to us being able to hang out and jump again. If it happens and it goes well and I don't get too excited or be weird like last time Id like too ask her out to dinner. But we will see.

Deep down I feel like it will go no where as that's been my experience with girls since starting late in all aspects with them 4 years ago. And the only 2 girls before this one I fell for went nowhere fast. So, It would be amazing if fate would provide me with a bit of success for once but the pessimist and being realistic part of me doesn't have me in high hopes.

But Fingers crossed I will be Wrong!
