I have loved someone who wasn't right for me, and thought about them even after I knew with certainty that I'd never be able to love them again the way I once did.

I did not miss them every day or long for them, though. I did felt the pain of loss at times, for months.

It was real, and youre not going to forget, but it will get less as time goes on. Itll really help when someone steps into your life that fills your heart.

Oh yeah for sure. I was a mess at the time so it wouldn't have worked but we had a real connection. Even to this day I think about her and hope she's ok

If he was kinda mean, keep a distance and let your heart start to heal. We never forget people we let into our hearts and lives, but we start living a bit again and we eventually do a lot better.
