I Need to Feel Loved and Appreciated

Imagine you're sat in the corner, ignored for the most part by siblings, ignored by most at your schools, lived with the constant backdrop of being ignored or called names for my disabilities in a world you feel you have to hide from and you just might understand where I'm coming from.
Even now I'm ignored by my siblings at family get togethers even if we are in the same space so it's hardly surprising that a strong need to feel I am loved and appreciated.
Indeed there have been times when I've struggled to accept any affection my experiences left me with a cold heart although I've come on leaps and bounds over the last few years with the support of others.

Joanne, I am sure you have a lot of love and care to give even if you had locked it away for a while; and I am sure you will find much in return. It is not you who have the problems with your siblings: it is they who have the problem of inability to accept and respect others as they are. As Pop0519 says, you are facing and overcoming your challenges and difficulties. We are all wishing you our very best!

You should be so proud, you are not hiding behind your challenges but embracing them and moving forward.. .. after all we are all individuals, some challenges are just more visible then others .. .. ..
