Happy one year anniversary !!!

Little did I know, one year ago, that when I found you, I had actually discovered the beginning of the most beautiful journey of my life.

If I could draw a map of our first year together, it wouldn’t be marked with roads or cities. It would be marked with moments… words… tenderness… and all the little pieces of your heart that you have given to me along the way.

There would be a little mark for the day our paths first crossed…
another for every conversation that brought us closer…
another for every sweetheart, every angel, every baby, and every tender word that made my heart flutter.

There would be places on our map for the nights you prayed for me and my family, for the times you reminded me to be safe, for the moments you held my heart so gently even from miles away.

There would be a special place for every time you made me smile when I needed it most…
for every butterfly you gave me…
for every time your words seemed to reach across the distance and wrap themselves around me.

And somewhere along that winding path, I would mark the moment I realized…

I wasn’t simply getting to know you.
I was falling in love with you.

Our journey hasn’t always been a straight road. There have been miles between us, days of longing, and moments when I wished I could simply reach through the distance and hold you.

But somehow, every little step brought us closer.

Because the greatest treasure wasn’t waiting at the end of the map.

It was being found along the way.

Your beautiful heart.
Your consistency.
Your reassuring words.
Your love that makes me feel treasured.
The way you have cared for my heart as though it were something precious.

And now, one year later, when I look back at the path we’ve traveled, I realize something incredibly beautiful:

So if this is our treasure map, Kevin, I don’t want the journey to end at the treasure.

I want there to be another thousand miles on our map.
