@mazedona Absolutely and the most important thing we could do for ourselves in this life, is prepare for eternity, so we will have the best in the afterlife, as well. If we do not prepare, we will not like the results because the Bible says there's no Second Chances. Once we cross over, there's no turning back. So we want to get this right.

Jesus died 2,000 years ago, long before anyone alive today HAD any sins. He died because He dared to get between an oppressive ruling class that used religion to gain power and control and another oppressive ruling class that used religion to gain power and control. He showed the world there could be another way- and then a member of the first group came along and shoved the entire faith under the thumb of the second, all without having ever MET Him. Your attribution of sin to the innocent suggests you fell for it; your focusing on Jesus' death, rather than His message, proves it.
Your slander of Satan, however, takes the cake. Take a look at your Bible (if you don't have one, here's a free one: https://bible.usccb.org/bible). Within the Bible, Satan shows up only three times. Kindly tell me in which appearance he does ANYTHING suggesting that he's Ahriman, with whom you seem to be conflating him.

You asked what I consider opinion vs fact.
For me, the fact is this: On July 21st, 1973, I invited Jesus into my heart and He gave me a brand new life. 53 years later, He’s still right here with me. That’s not opinion. That’s my life.
I've got 53 years of _fact_ since July 21st, 1973, when Jesus saved my soul, gave me a brand new life, and changed me by His Holy Spirit of Promise. That’s not something I dreamed up, but have lived for 53 years. I could not have withstood nor maintained faithfulness, if Jesus was not real in my life. He has always kept his promises to me. He also saved my daughter from dying.
I have the pictures and hospital/doctor records that show that. My family believes in prayer. We prayed for her when she was on her deathbed and the doctors told her there was nothing more they could do for her and that her organs were already shutting down, including her kidneys, and she had a week, if that, to live, but she was healed instantly. Prayer works miracles. She had gone from 183 lbs. down to only 86 lbs and this is a woman who is 6 ft 1. Today she is healthy as she could be and still alive some 7 years later and just beautiful. I'm very thankful to God for that.
I believe Jesus died and rose again because He came to save sinners. The Bible says all have sinned. I know I have. That’s why I need Him (John 3:16). Jesus is not my crutch...He is the remedy to all our spirit needs and seeks in this life.
I appreciate you sharing your view. For me, the message of Jesus is both His life AND His death and resurrection. The Bible shows sin entered the world in Genesis, long before the Roman times, and that’s why we all needed the Savior He became. I believe He came to show us the way, truth, and how to have eternal life AND to make that way possible through the cross. I’m grateful we can talk about Him.

I see it a little differently — I believe Jesus absolutely stood against religious abuse of power, and I also believe Scripture teaches He came to deal with sin that started in the Garden. John 3:16 and Romans 5 tell me His death wasn’t an accident of politics, it was on purpose, out of love for us. I’m thankful He did both: showed us how to live AND made a way for us to be forgiven.
I’m not a Bible scholar and I’m not here to debate or defend myself. I’m just here because Jesus has been so good to me, and I want others to know Him too.
And you’re right that we should know our Bible well 😊 I’ve read from my Bible that Satan shows up in more places than just 3 — Genesis, Job, the temptations of Jesus, and Revelation, to name a few. But I’m just grateful Jesus defeated Satan. That’s the hope I was trying to share in my post: God didn’t plan for the world to be like this....dark and full of evil...but through Jesus, all things are made new. I'm here to share God's truths _in love_.
Some people just want to be right or to fight. That's not me. I just want to be faithful and share there's hope and eternal life in Jesus. I'm so thankful he turns no one away, and loves all the same. His love for us is unconditional, not fickle nor absent, nor does he leave us abandoned like others might do. He is consistent and keeps all his promises. I can vouch for that in my life.

For me, it’s so much more than words on a page. The Bible is where I met Jesus, and His love changed my life completely.
On July 21st, 1973, I invited Jesus into my heart to be my Savior. That was the best day of my life. He rescued me from the weight of sin and gave me a brand new life. I’ve never been sorry for one second.
John 3:16 isn’t just ink to me — it’s the reason I have hope in a broken world. God’s heart has always been to save us, not condemn us. He doesn’t want anyone to perish. He waits for us, with open arms.
We all get to choose. God loves us enough to let us choose, and He proved that love on the cross. Jesus said eternity is real, and He died so we wouldn’t have to face it alone or separated from Him.
I don’t say this to argue. I say it because He’s been so good to me, and I want everyone to know He’s that good. If you ever want to read it for yourself, I’d encourage you to open the Bible and ask God to show you. He meets us right where we are. He's just a prayer away and he never turns any person away for any reason. ♥
