The burden of love

Have you ever been through enough stress that you felt like you didn’t want to be loved anymore?

I don’t mean thinking you don’t deserve love. What I mean is that you don’t feel like you can handle the responsibility of what it means to be loved.

I think I got to the point where really what I wanted to do was just disappear. Things got really hard, and I just needed something new and different. I couldn’t handle taking care of anyone else. I was barely able to take care of myself after everything that got me to that point.

I know what you mean, and how you feel. 🫂

Everyone deserves to be loved. Even you and me, even if we don’t think we do 🫶🏼
@Ashly thank you.
Post natal depression.
@0uijaFinger from what I've read that had got to be one of the hardest experience to overcome.
@DeadOrbit it's a shocker for sure

I think sometimes it’s not that you don’t want love, you’re just too exhausted to carry the responsibility that comes with it. When you’re barely holding yourself together, taking care of someone else can feel impossible. Sometimes you just need to step away, breathe, and take care of yourself first.
@Bleak could be but right now i don't think im very receptive to it.

I play hopscotch on the line of that space inside my soul.
