Does love and obsession go hand in hand?

No. That's infatuation. Love is to be known, to show care and appreciation.

no there's different kinds of love and obsessions love doesn't always have to be insane it can be calm and rational as well.. desire and lust can be crazy but that doesn't mean it's sustainable love as love is deeper than just selfish satisfaction and indulgence .. love is a sentiment of caring.. for someone else's best interest.. lust is wanting someone or something for yourself but people get confused

I think this is slightly true.. because you have to be able to look at that person and not see anyone else. I think obsession helps the love stay. You can be obsessed with many different things about the one you love, how they talk, there mannerisms, the way they do simple things, the way they look, the way they make you feel, obsession and love can go hand in hand. But love always requires friendship and cuddles.
