I know of people incapable of love. For literally physical reasons. That part of the brain is damaged. Sad, yet that is why love could not be the reason.

Reasons have to apply to everyone and everything.

Now change really does apply to literally everything. There literally is nothing that doesn't change.

Even a rock changes over time.
Change even changes itself by its rate of change.

I know of nothing else that is so all encompassing.

Yes it truly is so. I couldn't understand that few years back. But life taught me... I'm growing in it..

@Boeing I love that

@Jenny1234 yes, love your story too, how we are coming here to learn self Love, I'd add, to see that we are love..once all the silly veils and obstacles are removed..
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@Boeing absolutely we are
This is beautiful and I truly believe in this.
It is not a selfish love, but a giving one, to others and oneself.

I always like to hear stories of influential and positive fathers.

Thank you for sharing

@Ghostinthemachine you’re right. It’s not a selfish love. It’s a giving love ❤
Agree, self love is very important. I don’t think you can truly show love to another if you don’t love yourself first.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
I discovered that we have been created in such a way to love others and not ourselves. In other words, we are made to love ourselves through another, like how we can kiss ourselves only by kissing another or hug ourselves only by hugging another.

So, saying that we have to kiss ourselves first as a starting point before kissing another.. is absurd.
@Jenny1234 try the other way. Speak to others nicely. Treat others kindly. Take care of others emotions. Love other's thoughts.

There is no point in speaking to oneself nicely and talking to others harshly.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@in10RjFox I didn’t read in this thread that we were ever talking to others harshly
@Jenny1234 Love is something that has to emanated from one to another. So loving oneself is unnatural and is a hallucination.

i wonder for how many of us it is all about daily survival. it takes all we have and there is no love received in their life.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@1490wayb I suppose you could start with affirmations and looking at the positive things in your life and about yourself and develop a self love from there

The only great love I have is the love for my children.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@SUPERVlXEN love yourself the way you love your children

Thrust · 56-60, M
So you don't need a Hitachi to love yourself? 🤔
