My Thoughts on Self Love

Love is the driving force, the engine, of this planet and I believe it is the basic reason why we do everything.

Out of self love, out of love for our children, out of love for work, out of love for a partner, it is the word LOVE (in capital letters) of our lives.

The great love of my life has always been my father. He influenced my life in profound ways showing me guidance, wisdom, strength, and unconditional love.

Self love is very important for everything to work better among us because people without self love are the most harmful people.

Sometimes people see having a lot of self love is a bad thing but I think it’s very positive and I have more and more of it. I have learned that love is very difficult to happen if you don’t love yourself first. That has taken me over 40 years to understand!

There’s that widespread theory, well, a judgement, that you have to have someone to feel loved. No! The starting point is loving one’s self and when you love yourself, when you truly LOVE yourself (in capital letters), that’s when it truly arrives .

That is all. Go about your day now.

Yes it truly is so. I couldn't understand that few years back. But life taught me... I'm growing in it..

@Jenny1234 Maybe you are right, I see how nature vibrates in the frequency of love in its default state... the trees, the sunshine, the flowers, the rivers, the ocean, animals and humans too...
Then all sorts of stories come up and things change, but nature has the tendency to always return to that frequency, that is from my observation over the years of experiencing and looking at her..

@Boeing I love that

@Jenny1234 yes, love your story too, how we are coming here to learn self Love, I'd add, to see that we are love..once all the silly veils and obstacles are removed..
This is beautiful and I truly believe in this.
It is not a selfish love, but a giving one, to others and oneself.

I always like to hear stories of influential and positive fathers.

Thank you for sharing

@Ghostinthemachine you’re right. It’s not a selfish love. It’s a giving love ❤
Agree, self love is very important. I don’t think you can truly show love to another if you don’t love yourself first.

I know of people incapable of love. For literally physical reasons. That part of the brain is damaged. Sad, yet that is why love could not be the reason.

Reasons have to apply to everyone and everything.

Now change really does apply to literally everything. There literally is nothing that doesn't change.

Even a rock changes over time.
Change even changes itself by its rate of change.

I know of nothing else that is so all encompassing.

i wonder for how many of us it is all about daily survival. it takes all we have and there is no love received in their life.

@1490wayb I suppose you could start with affirmations and looking at the positive things in your life and about yourself and develop a self love from there

I spent a long time with little self love which was a dark awful time.
Sure is 🙏🏼💕😌

So you don't need a Hitachi to love yourself? 🤔
