What are a few of your favorite things?? 🎶

They started rolling through my head last night, and it made me happy so I’m writing some down just to prolong the warm fuzzy. 😄

When I come to bed late and his voice is all soft and low and groggy when he says “goodnight dear.”

When it’s dark and the lights are no more than needed and the house is quiet and the sounds are soft and gentle and I feel most myself, most at peace, and most alive in the very best way.

When Teddy steals my husband’s socks and hides them under the bed.

When my daughter calls just because she likes talking with me.

When he wraps his arms around me and he’s so much bigger than me that I feel completely surrounded by his solid warmth.

When I wrap a present and the scissors slide through the paper like butter and all the edges are perfectly crisp and it feels like a flippin Christmas miracle.

When I say “come” and Teddy doesn’t feel the need to consider his options first.

When I get to sleep in and I’m not going anywhere and it’s perfectly acceptable to put Irish cream in my coffee.

… When my posts are so long I help the insomniacs get to sleep… 🤣 Ok ok I’ll stop there. 😄
