Maybe I am wrong, but it seems that the value systems that were taught...and more importantly, demonstrated by the generations before us, for what it truly means to be a man, has dwindled away.
Taking personal responsibility, treating your lady with dignity and respect, helping a friend or neighbor in need, not looking for excuses for failure but rather, seeking resolutions for success and owning your shortcomings, not blaming others so you can feel better about yourself...
Am I crazy?
Do you think these values are fading away?
Women, do you find "old-fashioned" men appealing or has their attraction diminished in some way?
I would love your feedback

I agree and my best guess is because all of the intense wars we've seen in the last 100 years or so took the valiant, courageous, testosterone filled men were lost. Women were to often stepped into a man's role and created confused, weak kneed, men. The culture jumped on the band wagon and although we have men who might fill those roles, they need support, encouragement, mentorship, and good instruction.
@ChristinaNks I tend to agree. I think that modern distractions, like video games and cell phones, took away from the time that fathers and other influential men would have spent with younger males doing things outdoors. Whether that was chopping wood, hunting camp, fishing trips or many other things...it was a time to learn from experience from those before us. Its a shame
