I love that little boy so much...

My son has been really fighting to get through this really rough period of constipation.
Bless his soul, he was in so much pain.

I truly felt for him. But I've done everything I can to make sure he's going to get better. Natural and now medical intervention because I just can't cope with the pain he's been suffering it breaks my heart.

On top of that it's been a intense week for him starting nursery.
He has settled in really well but it's a change.

To top things off he has caught a cold.
Last night he was really needing some comfort he woke up every hour. So I had to stay awake and hold him while he slept
It was hard work I'll tell you that because every time I moved he would reach his hand out to my face to make sure I was still there. But when I started to move his hand as he got deeper into his sleep somehow he managed to put his hand between my pajama buttons on my shirt so it was harder for me to move his hand lol.

I'm guessing he wanted to feel my heartbeat.

Bless him.

I'm tired, but I never even thought a child could get me like this.

@Perry1968 happy birthday to your daughter. And thank you, I'm learning but trying to do the best I can really.

@Mellowgirl No one gives us a manual on parenting. Its a learning curve and you seem to be doing just fine. Alot of love means more than anything money could ever buy. I hope your little one gets well very soon. And thank you for my daughters birthday wishes. 🙂

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for "Levsin" drops. It slows down the digestion and helps ease the childs bowel movement.

@IM5688 thank you. They have given me firstly lactlose, now movical for children. 🫤

Have you given him prunes and prune juice? That might help!

@Peter1985 he will get better, that's the thing. It requires time, and unfortunately a little suffering on his part but I know he will get through this.

He's a fortunate son.
Water, fruits, and vegetables, are the best to keep him regular.

@NativePortlander1970 thank you for the tips, I tend to make my son's meals from scratch. Butternut squash soup, ham and pea soup, scrambled eggs with mixed bell peppers, natural yogurt and fruit, oats made with mostly water with banana or blended apple. Nursery has been given him also freshly made food too. Cucumber slices with hummus, moussaka, turkey with rice and veg.

His diet is very varied. (I listed a few examples only)

I'm just hoping it's because he's weaning.
@Mellowgirl All of those are heavy fiber, he should not have stopped up, he may need to be closely monitored medically to see if he has any digestive issues. @DrWatson is a retired Dr., he may know.something.

@NativePortlander1970 this is why I personally don't understand what's gone wrong. I fill up his 5oz bottle with boiled cooled water and get him to drink maybe 2 or 3 of those in the day. So I know I'm doing all I can to make sure he's hydrated and at the drs they noted he doesn't have a fever nor does he look dehydrated.

Apparently his dad has been giving him cereal to wat which ones I don't know.

He has tried some of my rice crispies but in all honesty it's not really enough I would have thought to cause the constipation. Umm he's had fish fingers, mash potatoes, some chicken. But nothing heavily fried, greasy, fatty or stodgy.
