Do you still believe in love ?

As I sit down to write this post, my heart overflows with emotions that are difficult to put into words. You may wonder why I am writing this post to someone I have never met before. But I know in my heart that you exist, somewhere out there in this vast world. Despite the fact that love has broken me into pieces time and again, I am still someone who believes in destiny.

Perhaps, like me, you are searching for me as well, in every face you see. Are you someone like me who believes in love even though it has hurt you in the past?. Or maybe you’re the voice in my head that tells me to keep going when I feel like giving up. Maybe you’re the hand that guides me when I’m lost and alone.

But when we finally meet, it will feel like destiny has brought us together. Our souls will recognize each other as if we’ve known each other our whole lives. That all the pain and heartache of the past was just leading us to each other, to this perfect moment. Maybe on that moment, we’ll both know that we’ve found our missing piece.

Until we meet, take care…

Yes, but not the human love that is "just a feeling" or based on a feeling. Love is so much more than that.
@Magenta People just don't get it. Today, "love" is 44DD or a 15 inch ding dong, both covered with tattoos. 🙄

@RogueLodyte Modern society is in the gutter.

@Magenta Is that a spiritual and eternal love?
@Magenta

Real" Love is that spirit which ''wills'' & 'does' good for others; a choice, not a 'feeling' .
This ha little to do with emotion, romance or infatuation
Magenta · F
@FieldMarshal Yes that too. But also human love which is a semblance of the real. Love is a verb, an action, a choice.
Magenta · F
@bigworldtinyguy Yes! Most of those feelings are lust & infatuation, and chemicals.
@Magenta YES;
Verb .. action .. choice ( act of the will ); my point exactly !
[@Magenta
I neglected to comment on that area earlier: we are 'naturally' selfish, looking for our own needs to be met rather than making the ''choice'' to love UN .. selfishly.
We ( foolishly ) place our own expectations on another and WHEN they fail to meet them we fail to ''choose'' to love in return.
None of us can live up to all of the expectations placed on us by another. We ''must'' choose to love because we already
have chosen to do so .

@bigworldtinyguy Spot on , we expect so much from others while ignoring our own faults and shortcomings. And yes selfish is our middle name.
