Not too often I come across a story about lovers meeting anew decades from first contact. It's always a joy to notice that even looks don't matter much. Although I should add that no-one does oneself a favour not even trying to do the effort
@val70 You always have a story to share. That reminds me more how looks don't matter, but let's digress for a moment, it's often looks that catch your attention first. Think the grocery store before you could advertise your bio on a dating app, people had ways to see who they were attracted to, it could have been their looks or their gentle nature that caught your attention; maybe both.

@WalkwithMe So I can't say looks will fade, I see both of my exes in the same light I did when I met them, it's just we changed instead of saying it was ever about looks.

Love is more complicated than can be put down into words.

@awildsheepschase Yes, indeed. I come out bad in voice for example. And I'm a real sucker for intelligence. That's what there's lacking... the standing still long enough to hear a bird sing
@val70 Impatience, wanting a feeling to be real now? I'm close you to this way, I once was more patient but find myself now more impulsive and impatient, while I know love and even being open as a person takes both qualities, while I guess it also needs the rush that fades away to stir the heart. That would be the bird singing.

@awildsheepschase I can't say it any better than that. Love is the song sung
@val70 Love is both the song sung and the song never sung.

@awildsheepschase Even in my head the song is still song, mind you
@val70 If you could only read your lover's heart and mind. Know what melody in their head they are singing. If you sung a song what would you sing?

In this context it must be this one...

@val70 Beautiful like an old fable or story. As tender as love can be.

For me, it will always be this song, there is a beginning and ending in the song and I happened to meet someone in my life to this song who became the very mirror of the song as I sung it in a vintage clothing shop, she would become my Marianne.
