Yes. As a young woman, I was terrified of men. I chose instead to bury myself in work my first year out of school. 6 long days of work and one day of sleep. And that worked for me until my new lady friends in the office demanded that I go out with them on a ladies' night. Social issues were the last thing on my mind, so I didn't have the clothes, shoes, or even the makeup, and I declined. They showed up at my apartment with everything needed to get me out the door with them. We arrived, and I just got comfortable when a tall guy asked me to dance. I love to dance and from what I could tell he was cute ( I left without putting my contacts in and I did not want to wear my glasses). He was so fun to talk to and a great dancer. In what seemed like 30 minutes was 3 and a half hours and my ride said it was time to go. I thanked him and left. The next day, the most enormous bouquet of roses I had ever seen arrived at the office with my name on it. He called me for lunch, but I could not go till the next day. I was nervous because I really wasn't sure of what he looked like. When he came up to get me...he took my breath away. He has been my dance partner, best friend, and the love of my life everyday since.
