What you need is balance. But if you find a wife like that you need to learn from her as she goes along and need be overly dependent. That way if, God forbid, something happens to her you will not be helpless. I’ve seen what happens when one partner takes control of the finances etc. and dies. This woman who is a few years younger than me that I knew for over 25 years became a widow with three sons, two almost grown. She had never wanted for anything when she was married, her husband had two successful businesses and made a lot of money, kept her in a nice car, a nice home and paid all the bills etc. She didn’t have to get involved in all of that and was very carefree. After he died she sold the businesses, was a millionaire. Within a year or so the money was gone. I guess she thought it was going to magically replenish itself. Her sons went through a lot of it, having parties and renting limos and that type of BS. She ended up working at Walmart (never had worked a job before) standing on her feet all. Developed an autoimmune illness and kept working, could only shuffle her feet. It’s terrible to happen at a young age but she was middle-age and having to learn what she should have learned at a young age.
