Not sure who needs to hear this but it is okay to let people protect you

It is okay, really.
It does not mean that you are weak.
It's okay to be the small spoon sometimes and find an embrace that can shelter you from the world.
You don't always have to be the hero. It's nice to take a break and let others shoulder those burdens for a while.

And I know trusting is hard in a world full of liars, users, abusers, and death, too, because you don't want to get too attached and then lose someone the next day. I know how that feels.

But we all have to accept that everyone will be gone whether we open our hearts fully or don't. At least, by opening our hearts, we've given others the chance to find out what it's like to love us back.

I used to think that loving was more important than being loved, but not anymore. Letting people love you matters just as much because it gives them the chance to outgrow themselves. Letting people love you is an act of love.

I've met less than a handful that would go lengths for me, even without knowing me beforehand, you being one of the rare ones. It's not often we meet people that will defend us just to keep justice, unconditional without expectations of anything in return. I appreciate and love you so much for who you are to me. ❤️
