Tic Toc

The universe stands still
as I lifelessly lay here
silence abused by the merciless raps
echoing through the emptiness
chasing that large hand

It continues its journey
only to end at the beginning
relentlessly soldiering on
torturing my soul
making me aware of the void
that became my life
when you are away

Broken and destroyed
alone and wanting
a sliver of sunlight peeks through
my personal shroud of darkness
You taking my hands
guiding me to your smile

Inching closer
your warmth intensifies
light becoming brighter
drawing me in faster and faster
completely consuming my spirit

Against all possible odds
your bright lovely eyes
sparkle once again
taking my breath
capturing my heart

My absolutely perfect woman
My One-and-Only,
the most wonderful,
super intense and funny
sweet and kind
beautiful inside and out

You shall never be wanting
as long as I breathe
I will care for your needs
completely and wholely
No matter the price.
