Is love transactional? Why/ why not?

What’s your experience? I’ve heard that only relationships are transactional.. not necessarily love. I’d like to think true love transcends all boundaries.

No. No such thing as unconditional love. If there was, why should any of us put effort into our relationships? Thats what keeps the spark alive, that you're always dedicated to your lover, you keep them happy and supported.
