Someone who is easy to talk to, can trust me to pour their heart out , compassionate and has a sense of humor and a strong work ethic. None of these traits were in my ex after I married him. He dropped his mask of sanity after a few months of being married and the real person came out. I racked my brain for years blaming myself for not being good enough despite everything I did in that marriage to hold it together and came to the conclusion it wasn’t me, it was him. The light came on and I left without looking back.
